Crazy Ninja Magic Part 2
by phill
Once again a long time since my last post. I’ve been a bit busy with university winding up towards exams and whatnot. In order to bring you up to speed, there are three things that reek of awesome that I’d like to share:
1) Ninja Gaiden: This game rocks. Think Devil May Cry except with ninjas. And believe me that makes all the damn difference. Combos, blood and shuriken ass-shooting abound Also, a little old game called N caught my eye the other day while I was browsing through Penny Arcade’s recommended links. It’s addictive, challenging and again, has Ninjas.
2) Windscreens: I know what you’re thinking, windscreens aren’t the most awesome of things. The other night my windscreen must have been covered in just the right amount of frost. Through this magical windscreen the moon and the streetlights on the way back to my place were transformed into almost-perfect rainbows. It really was a great experience. I couldn’t see worth a damn, but I was driving home under the light of every colour.
3)Tweaker: Tweaker is the alias of a certain Chris Vrenna. An artist that worked with NIN and has now produced two albums by the names of “The Attraction to All Things Uncertain” and “2 a.m Wakeup Call”. The latter of which I bought yesterday and the former of which I ordered. He sounds something like a cross between a chill out sessions album from Gatecrasher and the NIN album, The Fragile. It’s a very individual style and comes heartily recommended. It’s in short supply in Australia so if you want it, grab it up fast.
That pretty much sums up everything other than uni and work from my life at the moment. Other small tidbits include my father having a successful heart operation and my sister moving into her first house. But I hardly though they deserved a mention. :P
Oh, and that quote from Kane? “Older people should be guides, not molds.” And no, that’s not the stuff that grows on soggy bread. That’s mould fool.
