Or so my friends at Flork tell me. Within about two minutes of posting up a new profile pic (which featured my eye relatively closely) I got a few messages telling me it was a great looking eye. So colour me stoked.

Moving off self promotion, I love my mum. I saw her today for the first time in a week or so and it’s true what they say about absence making the heart growing fonder. Suffice to say that wherever she is, is home. And hugs are awesome – even if I’m too tall to enjoy them properly anymore.

Fuck. Another shooting in America. My empathy and sorrowful thoughts go out to the 9 that were killed and the one that believed it was necessary to do so. Fuck.

A question for all of you journal writing peoples – when do you fill in the ‘Music’ field? Is it when you start, finish or just when a cool song comes on and you want to put it in there? For me it’s the latter. Mainly because I like to give people an indication of which songs I actually like and think you guys might like, not the ones that just randomly appear.

Uni is seeming a bit slack at the moment. I’m not sure whether it’s the complete lack of homework I have or the fact that I haven’t needed to go in for more than 1 hour for the past two days. I think maybe both of them. It’s making me feel like a bum and I don’t like that feeling. It’s a niggling thought that keeps telling me that I have something to do, but no matter how hard I look there just isn’t anything due in. Which makes me think how sad it is that I find myself completely desolate with nothing assessable to keep me occupied. I think I need to get myself some better hobbies.

Ooh, ooh – Matt comes down on Thursday. We’ll be having our first all together family dinner for ages on Saturday. For some reason I’m quite excited about this. Maybe because I haven’t seen them for ages and I really do enjoy my family – even if we don’t get along at times :) Ahh, I’m just filled with family love at the moment. It’s different but definitely not unwanted.

Okay well I’m off to bed now. Got an early tute for Cell Biology with our quite attractive lab teacher replacing the archeologically engaged Monique (who has a penchant for destroying the english language).
