Panderghast

For some reason I had the subject line in my head as the name of someone. I think that may indeed be the first indication of the name of the protagonist in whatever story shall spring forth from my head in the future. I’ve learnt to let my subconcsious act as a vat, if you’ll pardon my penchant for analogy, and work away at fermenting the kind of ideas I have into fully fledged beers rife with the taste of imagination (that was definitely not your best work – Ed). so yes, when I suddenly get the urge to write down the surname ‘Panderghast’ I don’t really hesitate. The piece of paper shall most likely lie next to my comptuer for the next few weeks looking rather bored and waiting to be dismissed but I’m sure at one point it will fulfill its duties.
Today was one of the more full days I’ve had in recent memory. I woke up after a ridiculously good sleep to find my housemates ready and waiting for us all to go into uni to do some homework. This in itself is fucking weird as I usually in-sleep them by at least a showertime or two. So a quick breakfast, shower and shave later we headed in to make a dent in the Maple computing assignment that we got handed a couple of weeks ago. It’s hard going but so damn rewarding when you hit the enter button to find a lovely neat package of quantum rightness sitting in front of you.
After a few weeks of contemplation that concluded with a conversation with Cian last night I have decided to invest in some assertiveness in my life. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still be keeping my morals, ethos and general all round perfection – but I’m going to make an effort to do things and get things that I want, more than what other people want me to do/get. And if that means treading on some toes every now and again then call me Toey McTreadfast (Esq).
finally heard and saw the new Gorillaz song tonight. I think I had heard a little bit of it beforehand but the whole thing sounded good. Might have to get their new album (and Garbage’s and NIN’s and SOAD’s – when they come out). Also watched Garden State, which was pretty great. although it didn’t really have a point. I mean it did, but it was just a good story with a beginning and end and interesting if not mind blowing bits in between.
Alrighty, off to do some creation.
