Journal

I’m just not
cut out for the ‘blogger’ mantle. I can’t produce ‘content’, and my key tag words are more fuzz than buzz. If I try meta-writing for the blogosphere, my head spins after a few minutes and I have to go lie down. While I usually remember to credit my sources, I can’t credit the idea of reposting something that’s already been posted by a hundred-billion other sites. When I try and write about neat things I’ve found, I end up tongue tied and sans an adequately quirky voice to convey my enthusiasm (barring an imitation of T-Rex from qwantz). In the age of blog, I’d rather be the content-ed than the content.
Man it feels good to get that out. Anyway, consider this the return to a more journal-like format. I may not update for days at a time, or I may update twice day. Regardless, the posts will likely become more personal and less content-driven than they have been (if they ever were). More musing, less choosing.
Thanks for absorbing my confession, and I hope you have a wonderful day. (:

Hey.
Your statement that you’re not cut out for the ‘blogger’ mantle just makes me enjoy your blog more, which I wish I had discovered earlier than now. Your voice is plenty quirky. To me anyway, but then what do I know? I’m just another wannabe blogger.

Hi Elena,
Thanks for visiting! I apologise that the first thing that you come across on my blog/journal thing is a somewhat whiny entry, I just got sick of sitting down in the WordPress dashboard and trying to think of things to write that might interest people, instead of writing what I need to write at the time. It’s therapy for me, always has been.
I’ve had your blog on my reading list for some time now, I’m not entirely sure where I came across it at first, probably through a link-of-a-link sort of thing. I enjoy your reviews, though rarely comment on them because I’m not quite as widely read as yourself. I did enjoy your Vonnegut review, and I’d recommend ‘Slaughterhouse-Five’ if you haven’t read it already.
Anyway, thanks again for stopping by,
Phill
