@Cthulhu: Oh, my apologies Dark One. These are photos from a concert I attended on Wednesday. The band is called ‘British Sea Power’ and they are very good. Thankfully we were able to get right up close and have prime point of view for an incredible set. I highly recommend giving them a listen if you like rock music infused with great lyrics and mastery of instrumentals. (:
@Mark: It was a Canon Powershot G9, which is kind of like a poor-man’s DSLR. It’s small enough to fit in my (large-ish) pocket, but it has a bunch of options. I had to take all these on a higher ISO than I’d like (ISO800, with a couple of ISO400s when I could see that they were going to be standing still for long enough) but that’s just a result of low-lighting.
The pot plant was thrown (and kicked) back and forth into the crowd, and then I think the guitarist threw it out one more time and said whoever caught it should plant it and take care of it. I ended up being covered in dirt :D
@Elena: I do enjoy photography but I don’t think I’d cut it as a professional photog. For a start I don’t have the best equipment out there (I’m guessing the ISO on most of those shots would be too grainy for a lot of mags) and I would find it hard to get in the front of gigs if I did (I’m tall and conspicuous :P). So for the moment I think I’ll just stick to taking happy snaps when I can (:

Nice Phill, what camera are you using for these? Also, what is the deal with the pot plant? Did it survive the show?

Great photos, I didn’t realise you were into photography – do you do stuff for FasterLouder (They don’t pay but free gigs…)
