A little while

ago I sat down and spent a good half an hour reshaping my day-to-day life. You may think that’s not an adequate amount of time to do something that is seemingly quite momentous. In my case it is, because a) I am pretty good at rationalising and being honest with myself, and b) I am in possession of what could really only in the most flattering of lights be called a day-to-day life.
As a result of that sit-down, I realised I had to start doing things consistently. I discovered that my problem with ‘getting things done’ was a lack of everyday commitment. Since then I’ve tried to make a conscious effort to spend some appreciable amount of time doing the things I need to do every day without skipping. And you know what? It’s working. As stupid as it sounds, it never ocurred to me that to get things done, you just have to do them.

P.S. Happy Birthday, Mr. Darwin.
