I know I’ve been rather lax lately in the blog department, but I assure you it’s not of my own volition. As unfortunate as it is, life sometimes hits you with a truckload of work that you gotta do RIGHT GODDAMN NOW OR YOU’RE GOING TO DIE A HORRIBLE PUDDLE OF VOMIT AND OH GOD STRESSY STRESSSSS, etc. So I’ve been a bit busy. Which is not to say I haven’t seen a whole lot of really interesting things to blog about, but I just haven’t had the time to give each a proper discussion and/or description. So here’s a wall of links you can clicky clicky and have a gander at:

10 links to walk you through today’s financial crisis;

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Animated will have you wondering how we ever let ‘it’ get this far;

A fucking kickin’ Edgar Allen Poe paper doll free to download and construct and have staring down at you while you tap tap feverishly away at your typewriter;

A very interesting TED talk discussing the importance of saying thank you;

A well-written argument for written goal setting;

My character in Warhammer Online looking totally fucking badass (okay, not so important news);

Meat boy (like the ninja game N, but with more protein); and

Quite a Repo-esque short story by T.J.McIntyre over at Dog vs. Sandwich.

Enjoy!

" href="http://www.slate.com/id/2189318/?from=rss">fine article on the more common questions regarding poetry. I only link it here because a) Griffin & Hoxie had linked to it, and b) I found myself asking the same questions when I first encountered modern poetry little over 6 months ago. It does this by showing you examples of poetry where the answer to the question has been exemplified, so you can work it out for yourself. Find a quiet spot, clear your throat, and get stuck into some fine examples of why poetry is one of the most exciting things you can do with words.
